Before you ship to Malaysia
- Malaysia controls car imports through an Approved Permit (AP) system run by MITI. Your Malaysian importer needs the right permit in place before the vehicle ships.
- Import duty and sales tax are paid in Malaysia and can be a large share of the vehicle's value, so get them confirmed by your importer first.
- Send us the commercial invoice, VIN and the receiver's details so the paperwork matches.
- Clean the vehicle inside, outside and underneath before it ships.
General information only, checked on 11 October 2026. Import rules are set by the destination country and change, so confirm them with the receiver's customs agent before you buy or ship.
